Intertextuality

I think the real question  with intertextuality is what came first? Someone, somewhere started something, had an idea first (any idea that is) but what influenced this idea was also a result of another influential proces. So i wonder does  that actually make any piece original or unique.
I like that our minds try conect everything make it familiar, to make sense and thats how i found initerxtuality feels, its a that process trys to keep the past alive in a new way of thought. This also help to connect the viewer to a piece, make them involved, maybe in a nostalgic state using memories of the past. Or even relating to the audience using currant issues that you would understand

Taking a look at Planet of the apes (1968) Charlton Heston plays a human (Tylor) crash landed on a planet in the future ruled by apes, where by humans are enslaved, so he fights for freedom.
Then in the 2001 version he is once again seen as Zaius, on the side of the apes quoting the similar lines in which he spoke before in a reverse role.
Previous words:"damn you, damn you, damn you all to hell"
2001 version: " damn them, damn them, damn them all to hell"
Charlton Heston as Zaius 2001
