A major breakthrough for animation in 1984 because it was the first with 3 advances:
First being Particle Systems whereby they follow a pattern such as hair movement
Second is Motion blur (used on wings and run)
Third is smooth polys using teardrop bodies making it more malible for movement
Pixar was the first company to crate these software to get a better end result, they were so good at portraying emotion and humor in the character that it was mistaken for a progamme able to project it.

Luxo Jr.

One of there most iconic creation is Luxo jr. which is now used for the Pixar logo. It was a short film that at the time of its creation was noted for its photorealism. such as the wood grain in the desk, reflections on the lamps, and also the great contrasting lights from the lamps themselves.

Looking at this idea in the focus of animation and film, any kind of fantasy is someone's view on ideology.this can make you see something he way that they want you to perceive it, it could be used by an environment such a Bambi forest with dreamlike colours and shapes or even Avatars rainforest.
